At low engine speeds, the IMRC system closes certain runners, increasing air velocity and improving low-end torque. At higher speeds, the runners are opened to allow more air into the engine, enhancing top-end power. This system provides a balance between low-speed drivability and high-speed performance, making it particularly useful in naturally aspirated engines.
